These Terms govern your use of Where's Ma Stuff? ("MaStuff"). By signing in, you agree to them. They're written in plain English; if anything's unclear, ask.
You must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority where you live, if higher) to create an account. MaStuff is not designed for children.
You agree NOT to use MaStuff to:
Violations may result in account suspension or termination. Serious violations may be reported to law enforcement.
You own what you upload. Item titles, descriptions, photos, receipts, comments — all yours. You grant MaStuff a limited license to display your content to the audience you choose (household members, group members, Marketplace browsers per your listing settings) for the purpose of operating the service.
You're responsible for the legality of what you upload — particularly photos that may include people other than you (get their permission), or copyrighted material you don't own.
MaStuff is a facilitator, not a party to your transactions. When you lend, rent, sell, or gift an item to another user, the agreement is between you and them. Specifically:

MaStuff includes a feature called Giveaways where the owner of a free item can give it away by random draw to anyone eligible to see the listing. (Earlier internal documentation called this "Lottery"; the underlying mechanic is the same — only the name changed.) These Giveaway promotions are sweepstakes, not lotteries (in the legal sense): entry is always free and no purchase is required.
The item owner who creates the Giveaway is the sponsor of that specific Giveaway. MaStuff is the platform that operates the random-draw mechanism on the owner's behalf. MaStuff itself does not own or supply the prizes (except in rare cases where MaStuff staff run a platform-sponsored promotion, which will be clearly marked as such).
To enter a Giveaway you must have a MaStuff account and be old enough to use the service (see section 1). You must be able to see the listing — Giveaways are only visible to the audience the owner chose (their household, specific groups they belong to, or the public Marketplace tab). MaStuff employees + their household members are not eligible to win prizes worth more than $50 USD on platform-sponsored promotions. Void where prohibited by law.
Bonus tickets are MaStuff's loyalty currency for the Giveaway mechanic. They are earned only through free activities:
Bonus tickets cannot be purchased with money, traded, or transferred between accounts. Their only function is to weight the random draw on free Giveaway items. MaStuff will never offer a "buy bonus tickets" affordance — doing so would convert the Giveaway feature into a regulated lottery (in the legal sense), and that is explicitly out of scope.
To prevent any single entrant from dominating a small Giveaway, the system caps each entrant's effective tickets at a configurable fraction of the total pool (default: 10%, with a one-ticket minimum so every entrant always counts). Tickets you pledged that exceed this cap at draw time are automatically refunded to your balance — they aren't lost. Withdrawing from a Giveaway before it closes also refunds any pledged tickets in full.
Each Giveaway lists exactly one item (or a quantity ≥1 of the same item for multi-winner Giveaways). The prize description, condition, and approximate retail value, where applicable, are visible on the item card. MaStuff does not verify or warrant prize values — the description is whatever the owner provided. Caveat emptor applies the same as it would for any user-to-user transaction (see section 5).
If the winner doesn't accept the give-transaction within the auto-expiry window, the owner can re-run the draw with the original entry pool minus the declined winner — they'll see a "redraw" option on the item card. If all winners decline (multi-winner case), the Giveaway is treated as having no winner.
The Giveaway owner can cancel an active Giveaway at any time before the draw fires (for example, if the item became unavailable mid-Giveaway). All pledged bonus tickets are refunded to entrants automatically when this happens. Cancellation includes a required reason that is emailed verbatim to every surviving entrant.
If you believe a Giveaway was conducted unfairly, contact feedback@gizmos-inc.com. We log every draw with a verifiable seed and the full entry list, so post-hoc audit is straightforward. MaStuff is not a party to the prize transaction between the owner and winner — see section 5.
Sweepstakes prizes are generally taxable income to the recipient in the United States. MaStuff does not issue tax forms today. If the value of prizes you win in a year is material to your tax situation, please consult a tax professional. The Giveaway owner is the prize sponsor of record for any state-level reporting requirements.
MaStuff is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific needs. We don't guarantee the truth of anything users post.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, MaStuff and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the greater of (a) the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (zero for free-tier users) or (b) $100 USD.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any dispute that can't be resolved through informal contact (please try feedback@gizmos-inc.com first) goes to a court of competent jurisdiction in the US.
We may update these Terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we'll notify you in-app and via email (if you have email-mirror enabled) at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
