Three tiers: super (manage other admins + everything below), admin (queue triage + grants + banned words + password reset), moderator (reserved — narrower, not exposed yet). Demote to member by setting role to none.

Three giveaway-admin tools — pick one.
Award free tickets for bug reports or feature suggestions. Each ticket lets the holder add an extra entry to a giveaway draw, boosting their odds. Recipient sees the new balance under Account.
Generate an inventory file for insurance, estate planning, off-site backup, or just "what do I have?" Your last choices stay set for next time.
Keywords a friend or buyer would search for.
Lend is on. People who can see this item can request to borrow it; you ship or hand it off, they return it later. No price; no settings here.
Sell is on. Buyers can make an offer; you accept, decline, or counter. The asking price comes from the Value field above; per-request negotiation is allowed by default (toggle on the Marketplace section below if you also list publicly).
Rent is on. Set any combination of $/day, $/week, $/month — renter sees the cheapest mix automatically ("10 days = 1 week + 3 days"). Or leave all three blank for open to offers mode: renters propose their own total price.
Free gifting is on. Pick the mode below — Giveaway (random winner) for nicer / desirable items, or uncheck for First-to-ask (whoever asks first wins).

Review the suggestions, then click Apply to save them on the item.
Below is a prompt built from your item details. Copy and paste it into ChatGPT, Claude, or any AI you trust to get a fair-market estimate and suggested rental rates. Edit it first if you want to add context.
Your name shows up next to items you've shared with others.
Shown to people outside your household instead of your real name. Globally unique. Leave blank to use your real name everywhere.
Email: (can't be changed here)
Ways to sign in to this account. Linking Google adds one-tap sign-in even when its email differs from your account email — both methods land in the same profile.
Auto-expire stale proposals so the inbox doesn't pile up. Each side picks their own; the deadline on a proposal is whichever fires first (proposer's outgoing or recipient's incoming).
Which transaction types are ON when you create a new item. You can override per-item in the form; this just sets the starting point. Tick "⚙ Make this my default" inside any Add Item modal to save the current choice from there too.
How distances and radius values are shown across the app. Auto picks miles for US addresses, kilometers elsewhere.
Schedules your account for permanent deletion in 30 days. During that window you can sign back in to restore it; after that, deletion is final.
We have a pending deletion request on .
Your account is set to be permanently deleted on . Until then, you can restore it.
Note: in-flight transactions cancelled at delete time can't be un-cancelled, but the rest of your data (items, sharing, settings) comes back fully.
A group lets you share specific items with specific people. How new members get in is your call (see Access mode below).
You can change this later from the group's edit form.
Off by default. Turn on for groups you want strangers to find — e.g. a local hobbyist club. Family groups stay off.
Comma-separated. Helps people find your group via search. Tags are shared with item tags — "3d-printing" is the same canonical tag everywhere.
Type levels separated by > to create several at once. Example: Home > Garage > Tool box creates all three in one shot. Intermediate levels are auto-created if missing.
✨ AI-powered. Snap or upload a receipt — paper photo, screenshot of an e-receipt, or PDF (Amazon order confirmations, etc.). AI extracts the line items; you review + edit before saving. The original receipt is attached to every item created.
🔒 The receipt is forwarded to Anthropic for processing and is not stored on our server. Only a one-line usage tally (for the per-user monthly cap) is recorded, and it auto-purges after the cap window. Privacy details.
Tip: include the whole receipt in the frame — vendor name at the top, all items, totals at the bottom. Photo quality matters more than fancy lighting. PDF e-receipts (Amazon, etc.) work via 📁 From files.
✨ AI-powered. Snap one or a few photos of the item — different angles + a close-up of any label or serial-number plate help. AI fills in the details; you review + edit before saving.

Up to 5 photos per call. Use multiple angles for tricky items; for branded products a close-up of the brand/model label dramatically improves accuracy.
Add many items at once from a spreadsheet. Three steps:
We recommend starting at the top — set up your Household first, then add items, then share with Groups. Each step builds on the previous one, but you can skip ahead if you'd rather.
Look for the small ? icons throughout the app for short explanations of any concept.
🛡 Privacy: household-mates share each other's items by default. Any item can be set to 🛡 View-only (they see it but can't act) or 🔒 Hidden from household (they don't see it via household — per-group sharing still works) from the item's edit form. Learn more.
💬 Confused or hit a bug? Send feedback — specific, well-explained reports earn bonus giveaway tickets.
Pick the groups that should hear about this. Members see a new announcement in their inbox; opt-in members also get an email. Limited to one ping per group per item per 24 hours, so re-clicking is safe.
Enter your account email. If it matches a MaStuff account, we'll email you a one-tap sign-in link that's valid for 15 minutes.

Track it. Lend it. Rent it. Sell it. Gift it.
A personal-inventory app for the people you actually trust — family, in-laws, closest friends. Know what you own, who has it right now, and pass it along when you're done with it.
What MaStuff is. A personal inventory app I built so our family stops losing track of who borrowed what, who's got the kayak this weekend, and which of the 14 boxes in the basement has the holiday lights. Track it. Lend it. Rent it. Sell it. Gift it. Take it on a trip.
How it's organized. Three layers, from smallest to broadest:
The Marketplace tab is the only public-by-default surface — anyone signed in can browse stuff you've opted in there. Everything else stays in your circle. 🧳 Trips track items you've taken somewhere (the cabin, camping, Dad's basement reno) so you know what to bring back home — they're owner-only by default, optionally household-shared.
Where to start. Tap ✨ Get Started up top — it walks you through setting up a Household, adding your first item, and joining or creating a Group, in that order. The little ? icons throughout the app explain anything that isn't obvious.
Feedback / questions / "this is broken." 💬 Send feedback in the hamburger menu — it goes straight to me. I read every one.
